Our sweet Novi was hit by a car, and our family is now facing one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to go through.
Novi suffered serious injuries to both of her front legsand is currently receiving emergency care at Upstate Vet in Greenville, SC. The veterinary team has explained that there is a possibility of surgically repairing both legs, but they have also discussed the possibility that one leg may not be able to be saved.
The estimate to attempt surgical fixation of both front legs, along with hospitalization, anesthesia, and medications, is approximately $15,000–$20,000. There is also a treatment option involving repair of one leg and amputation of the other, estimated at $7,000–$10,000.
We are setting our fundraiser goal at $15,000because we want to give Novi the best chance possible and pursue the treatment her veterinary team believes is appropriate.
Novi isn’t just a dog to us. She is family. She is a loving part of our home, and seeing her hurt and unable to use her front legs has been heartbreaking.
We never expected to suddenly face veterinary expenses this large, and we are doing everything we can to get Novi the care she needs.
