Hello, my name is Dustin. I have a beautiful wife named Samantha (Sam) and two children, Autumn and Legend. We currently live at Sams mother's house, not in her house, at her house. We live in the back yard, in a camper I bought with the last bit of money I had at the time, about a month and a half ago. Not an ideal place to raise my family and call home by any means, but I'm grateful we had this as an option to say the least. I'm a union carpenter here in Las Vegas and when I'm working, I make a pretty good living. Enough to provide for my family. Unfortunately, early last year on Feb. 16th, I was laid off. Right after we finished the remodel of the hotel tower at the Horseshoe hotel and casino on Las Vegas Blvd. What seemed to be simultaneously, several other big jobs finished and around 4,500 carpenters found themselves out of work. Vegas hit a dry spell for a few months then slowly picked back up, breaking ground on a few much needed projects. Thats great but it still took months before any of us, other than concrete carpenters, got to see one of these job sites. Then I had to fight 4,500 other, just as desperate, men and women to get back to work. Unemployment only lasts 6 months, they no longer offer extensions, and I didn't have a savings big enough to not worry about not being able to provide. We were told not to panic about work. Our union representatives kept talking about all these jobs that are now starting, like they had been going on in April of last year. Then month after month more broken promises. Eventually my bills piled up, my credit cards went to collections and my truck ended up on the repo list. Not wanting to cause any more damage to my credit with an eviction in November, when I received my vacation check from the Union, I took our last $4000 and bought a 1993 camper for $2000 and remodeled it to accommodate my family's needs. Then swallowed my pride and asked my in-laws if I could bring it, Samantha and our kids to their property in Pahrump NV. It's about an hour and a half north of Las Vegas. Thankfully they said yes. Almost immediately, my mother in-laws husband started making it clear we weren't as welcome as we were originally made to believe. So just like I was doing in Vegas, I started looking for any work I could.  Advertising my services on all the platforms I have an account on and turning in apps every day. Even riding my bike when I had no one else to ask for gas money. Then 2 Thursdays ago the MIRACLE I've been praying for was answered. I got a call from Dave, a foreman at a company I previously applied for. Things are finally looking up. I feel like I can breathe again. I'll start seeing paychecks next Friday. So last week my wife and I started planning our exit off her mom's property. Those of you not familiar with Las Vegas and the surrounding areas, they say Vegas is close to reaching its maximum growth potential outwards. So most new projects are going up with towers. The cost of housing is through the roof, like most of the country. So all the surrounding areas are starting to be developed more with plans for new homes. Prices on land is at an all-time high and the population is rising every year. All but one overlooked little area just across the Nevada California state line called Charleston View. A tiny community that's part of a town called Tecopa. A town so small they don't even have a police force. So I started my search and was able to find several parcels for sale. I did as much due diligence as I know of and narrowed it down to two properties. I messaged the owners and asked if they would be willing to offer owner financing, both said they would. They told me their terms and then the rug was snatched out from under us yet again. The check engine light came on and my truck started puttering. I went to Auto Zone and had them run a diagnostic on it. Misfire on cylinder 4. I went through the process of elimination with the spark plugs, wires, fuel injectors and ignition coil, just to come to the conclusion it's the valve.  It's going to cost me$4,000, on top of $2,100 I need to pay before the bank finds it and repos it. Wait there's more! This afternoon while making dinner, we could hear Sam's mom and her husband arguing. I was not trying to eavesdrop, but I also couldn't not hear the yelling coming from the garage. We heard Sam's moms husband say how he wants his house back, how the kids always want to watch TV, so he has to go to the garage to watch football and how it's not the fact he's drunk, he is just fed up and she needs to pick either us or him. So, when Samanthas mom came inside I told her we won't make her choose, that we are sorry for anything we might have done to make her life harder, and we will leave ASAP.

So to create more revenue for the land to pay for itself, we have a game plan. We will not be a single income family. My wife and I both grew up with horses. We both come from a military family. My wife used to train horses, and I was even born on an Airforce base. So we have a soft spot in our hearts for our veterans and a passion for horses. We want to adopt, train and rehome BLM mustangs to be emotional support animals for our veterans that are suffering from PTSD and everything else they may bring home from serving our country. We personally know how horses have changed our lives. We would like to pass on our passion and love for horses. So, you would not only be helping our family but potentially helping other families for years to come.

So here I am with all my dirty laundry out for everyone to read, once again asking for help. Pride gone and scared to death I might fail my family. Anything would help and I know that it's not what this site is about, but I could pay it back ASAP. We need $3,450 down, $250 doc fee, $4000 for truck repairs, $2000 to catch my truck up on payments plus car insurance and our normal bills minus my paycheck. If I remember it right when we added it up, it was $8,500. It's been a long night with everything, then typing this, putting the kids to bed, finally getting to eat my dinner, knowing I have to be up at 2:30am. My brain is a little mush. Thank you in advance. If anyone can help, I would be eternally grateful. Help us spread some good in this world, God knows we need it.
