This fundraiser will be raising funds to help Ibrahim evacuate Gaza. (We were previously using GFM to raise funds but decided to change platforms due to issues with GFM.)

 

The funds raised will be used for the following purposes:

  • To evacuate Ibrahim out of Gaza to Egypt
  • Cover basic needs while awaiting to evacuate, which include food, water, medicine, and any other basic needs
  • Help Ibrahim have a place to stay while waiting for Evacuation out of Gaza into Egypt 
  • Transportation fees from the border to Cairo

 

Here is a message from Ibrahim:

I want to evacuate because there is no future in Gaza at the present time. My house, my work, my car, and everything has been destroyed in Gaza City. There is no work. I want to look for a good job and a good future as well. I want to continue my education and obtain a university degree. I want to settle down and live in safety here. There is no safety. And there is no stability.

 

This is my family’s home. It was filled with joy every day. The house was bombed while we were inside it on the fourth day of the war. My sister-in-law, my cousin, and my uncle’s wife were killed, and I and all my family members were injured.

 


This is my new home. I bought an apartment in a residential tower and I intended to get married and live there very soon, but the war and occupation destroyed everything here, they destroyed all my dreams and future ideas.


I was injured due to the bombing of my family home.

 

This Mercedes of mine was destroyed by artillery shells from the despicable occupation. It ruined the joy of my little nephew.

 

 

I used to go to the beach every day here and enjoy the sunset, but the occupation destroyed Gaza City and the beautiful Gaza beach

An updated on Ibrahim and his family:

The situation in Gaza city is very difficult, the occupation is destroying entire neighborhood blocks, displacing people and forcing people to leave to the south. As of now, Ibrahim’s neighborhood has not been ordered to evacuate but it is constantly being bombed and shelled.
I was able to video chat with Ibrahim yesterday and every few minutes there was a shelling hitting his neighborhood. The cost to evacuate to the south is very expensive, the transportation to move Ibrahim’s family and their belongings would cost between $700-$1,000. I know this is a big number but I truly think if we band together we can raise the funds so that if his neighborhood is ordered to evacuate Ibrahim’s family can leave.

So please if you could share Ibrahim’s campaign with friends and family and donate if possible, any support if appreciated

Hello, an update on Ibrahim and his family’s current situation.

There is very little food available and Ibrahim and his family have started rationing their food. Ibrahim sometimes only eats one meal a day, so that his little nieces and nephews can eat. They have not been able to get flour and made a bread from the lentils they had available. The situation is very difficult in the North.  

PayPal closed Ibrahim’s account permanently and we are looking into ways to send funds to him. There is also the issue of commission fees when Ibrahim goes to cash the donations received, the commission fees can be between 35-40% possibly even more. Out of $100 sent, Ibrahim only receives about $60 of that amount. Which buys them very little food.

So please if you can share Ibrahim’s campaign and donate, that would be appreciated. Your donations help Ibrahim and his family survive

Hi Everyone,

 

A quick update on Ibrahim and his family:

Ibrahim and his family are ok, they have moved back to their home that was damaged in a bombing and have started to repair the damage. After more than a year, Ibrahim and his family have been able to reunite with relatives and friends that have returned from the south.

There is not a lot of aid coming to the north but there is more food available in the markets than before the ceasefire. During this past year, due to famine and lack of food Ibrahim lost 10 kilos (22lbs). And he recently was able to buy meat for him and his family to eat, he told me it was the first time in over a year that he ate meat.

Ibrahim and his family still need your support, so if you can please share his campaign and donate if you're able to. Your donation is helping Ibrahim and his family survive!

The next update I will share some words that Ibrahim wrote during this past year about his experiences.
