A few days ago our cat Miss pickles started either throwing up or peeing blood, we haven’t been able to catch her in the act yet to see which one. We’ve been in contact with our regular vet and a few local vet offices, and know she needs diagnostic testing and vet care. After moving, welcoming our first baby, becoming a one income household, unexpected medical issues, and another 6k in emergency vet bill less than 6 months ago, our savings are tapped and our credit is maxed out. I have applied for a few local grants to help pay for emergency vet care, but nothing has come to fruition and the longer we wait, the less chance miss pickles has of recovering. I’ve also contacted a handful of local cat rescues and humane societies about resources and possibly surrendering her as a last resort, but everywhere so far is either full and not accepting cats at this time, or only intakes by application. Anything helps, we just want her to get the care she needs. Thank you
