My music has always followed the whisper of faith. Egypt is the next chapter-a pilgrimage that will inspire new songs and reflections for "In His Presence: Songs, Roots & Legends."
A Pilgrimage of Sound and Spirit
I have fond memories of being an undergrad at San Francisco State, taking the class "Blacks in Scientific Development." Since then, I’ve felt drawn to Egypt—the cradle of civilization. Its sands hold stories that shaped the world, including the roots of Christian tradition.
Some of you know my earlier album, "Something Good"—a labor of love that took five years to complete. Egypt feels like the next step in that same journey of faith and sound: a chance to listen, learn, and be renewed in spirit.
As an artist, musician and spiritual seeker, I feel led to go—not as a tourist, but as a pilgrim. I believe this journey will deepen my creativity in music and faith, helping me bring back songs, reflections, and renewed energy to share with others.
This pilgrimage will also plant the creative seeds for my next project, "In His Presence: Songs, Roots & Legends"—but for now, the focus is simply getting there.
The total cost of the trip is $5,000, and the balance is due by January 13, 2026. I’m inviting those who believe in this vision to be part of the journey—through prayer, encouragement, or a gift of any size.
Every contribution helps me take one step closer to standing on that sacred ground.
And when I sing again, I’ll carry your kindness with me.
Thank you for helping make this pilgrimage possible.
