Whiskey came to us December 5th in the evening. We knew he was going to be a hard case but we were determined to help him. We didn’t know just how bad he actually was until the 7th. We thankfully got some meds to help him but unfortunately it was too late. This morning December 9th at 8:45am he passed while I held him and pet his head. No matter how much money we spent last night taking him all the way to Buffalo his body was too far gone so I’m glad we kept him home and comfortable. He got a little bath and looked so handsome got some much needed rest without getting up every few minutes to throw up. He got bundled up fresh puppy pads and a few blankets to have something soft to lay on for cuddles last night before he fell asleep. I believe the meds we got ahold of and gave him last night helped ease his pain and symptoms enough to pass the rainbow bridge this morning. As I held him and pet his head I just told him “it’s ok to pass buddy you did so good fighting and we love you so much” he closed his eyes slowly then opened them took a deep breathe and then let it out and let go. The most painful thing I’ve experienced in a while and it sucks. Right now he’s been dropped off at Genesee Valley Farms to be cremated and I will be picking him up around Wednesday. The amount is $116 but I wanted to try and donate the $34 extra to the farm to help them out. If I can cover some of it through the help of you guys that would be amazing. I don’t expect to raise the full $150 but I appreciate ANYTHING and I fully understand that Christmas is around the corner so if you can’t donate please at least share it for Whiskey. Thank you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.
