On 9/20, Cam was in a racing accident at Speedway 95 in Bangor. There isn’t very many times that I don’t go to the race track without Cam because I always have the thought in the back of my head that something bad will happen & I won’t be there, tonight that came true. He went to Speedway 95 to race a borrowed car. During the feature as he was passing for 3rd entering turn 1 his throttle got stuck, he hit and launched over a sandbank, rolled about 20 feet away onto his roof, crushing the cage. It took a while for EMT to get to him but he managed to get himself out. He was transferred by ambulance to the hospital where he remains admitted to the ICU. Cam needs surgery. He has 2 torn ligaments at his C1 vertebrae, C1 & T5 fracture, and a severed artery. After looking at the MRI doc said he had a guardian angel looking over him and he doesn’t know how he is alive or not paralyzed. Cam currently does not have health insurance, we are looking into those options, he is also the sole provider for our family. We love and appreciate all of you, whether you are able to donate or just share. We have an extremely long road ahead of us.
