Father, Husband, Music-lover, and former Oklahoma legislator and respected civil rights attorney Ryan Kiesel passed away this week after a lengthy battle with cancer, just two weeks after his 45th birthday. Ryan devoted his extraordinary talent to work that improved the lives of those who knew him, and more broadly the lives of Oklahomans. He showed us what it looks like to stand up for other people, to stay true to your principles in the face of difficulties, and how to find the joy in life.
Ryan was most proud of his loving family, especially his wife Allison, and kids Oliver and Claire. In conversations and with a sparkle in his eye, he was proud to talk about what was going on with his family and to brag on their latest accomplishments.
