Kristine's husband assaulted one of their children, serious enough to result in a felony injury to a child charge, and a no contact order with that child. They have since separated and divorce is imminent.
Now, her husband and his mother have used our local tribal court to take custody of the rest of their children from her under false pretenses and in retaliation. In effect, punishing Kristine for her husband’s misdeeds.
“These are my children in the photograph, four of whom have been taken from me under false pretenses and assumptions by my mother-in-law. My soon to be ex-husband has caused so much stress in our family. Now he and his mother are further harming our children by taking them away from me without cause. I’m asking for help to get my kids back with me in a safe mental and emotional environment and for their future safety.”
