My name is Kendall Stephens and I have been a dedicated LGBTQIA+ activist and advocate that has served countless communities of need. I have used my platform to bring systemic and sociocultural injustices to light and have worked alongside myriad community members and allies to implode systemic infrastructures of disenfranchisement and inequity. I am also a hate crime victim, a Godmother, student, teacher, a community member and a friend. With shock, very disturbing FALSE charges, including rape and corruption of children have been lodged against me at a time when I was on the cusp of bringing real change to trafficked children in Philadelphia. I VEHEMENTLY DENY THESE CHARGES AND DENY EVER HURTING A CHILDREN IN ANY WAY. I applaud the preliminary family court judge who dismissed almost half of the charges, including rape, and other related charges. I cannot speak on the case in any way more than this ( lawyer’s orders). My voice- my most powerful tool of truth and power- has been taken from me as anything I say has the potential to be weaponized against me, no matter how minuscule or truthful. I will have my opportunity to speak soon enough and when the TRUTH comes out, you see for yourself how this entire situation was orchestrated to silence me and perpetuate dangerous and false stereotypes about LGBTQIA+ community members.
