Help Brad Get Back To Being God’s Gift To St. James
Brad Franklin is more than just a neighbor on Pine Island—he’s a cornerstone of the St. James City community. A true local staple, Brad has spent years quietly serving others with his skills, tools, and big heart.
When Hurricane Ian slammed into Southwest Florida in 2022, Brad lost everything, including his home. The storm surge and winds that devastated Pine Island and St. James City stripped him of his belongings and stability. Yet, instead of focusing only on his own recovery, Brad immediately turned outward. He rolled up his sleeves and helped countless families rebuild after Ian.
Since then, he has been there through every storm—Hurricanes Helene, Milton, and others that brought repeated flooding and destruction to our low-lying island community. Whether through his hands-on help with repairs and debris cleanup or his faithful service at First Baptist Church of St. James City, Brad has consistently shown up for his neighbors. He’s the guy who shows up when others can’t, using his expertise and his heart to help residents get back on their feet.
Today, Brad still has the tools and the know-how that our community desperately needs. What he lacks is reliable transportation. Without a truck, he can’t get his equipment and materials to the job sites where families are counting on him.
Our goal is to raise $40,000 to purchase a good, reliable used flatbed truck and a utility trailer. This setup will allow Brad to securely store and transport his tools and supplies so he can continue serving the families who need him most.
A truck and trailer would allow Brad to keep doing what he does best: being God’s Gift to St. James. It would mean more homes repaired, more neighbors helped, and more strength for a community that has been battered but refuses to break.
Please consider donating today. Every contribution brings Brad one step closer to getting back on the road and back to helping our community heal. Together, we can keep this local hero serving the place he loves.
Thank you from the entire Pine Island / St. James family.
