Hello, my name is Tracy Otto, and I am a Paralympic archer training toward the dream of representing The United States at the LA28 Paralympics. My journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and the pursuit of excellence against unimaginable odds.

In 2019, my life changed forever after a violent attack left me paralyzed from the chest down. The paralysis includes my hands making me a quadriplegic. I am also partially blind from the same attack. But, that wasn’t the end of my story it was the beginning of a new one.

Fast forward to March 2021 I discovered archery. After taking my first shot with a bite tab (and actually hitting the target 😆) I was hooked. That day I made the goal of competing in the Paris, 2024 games. I’m honored to say I reached that goal.

Now, with LA28 on the horizon I have a new and bigger goal. Gold on home soil.

Archery has given me a new purpose and a platform to inspire others especially people living with disabilities, survivors, and anyone chasing a dream that feels out of reach.

But making it to the Paralympics isn’t just about talent and dedication it also comes with a financial mountain. Unlike many professional sports, Paralympic athletes often fund much of their training, travel, and adaptive equipment themselves.

  • Why I’m Raising Funds

Competing at the Paralympic level requires more than a bow and arrows. Here’s what your support makes possible:

  • ~$50 → Covers one coaching session
  • ~$250 → Pays for a dozen competition-grade arrows
  • ~$500 → Covers a month of training range access
  • ~$2,500 → Funds one national or international competition trip
  • ~$5,000 → Supports adaptive equipment and modifications
  • ~$10,000 → Covers a year of international competition travel and coaching

My first campaign goal of $25,000 will cover:

  • A custom adaptive archery setup
  • Coaching & sport-specific training
  • Any necessary support staff
  • National competition costs and travel
  • First steps toward international qualification

🌍 The Bigger Picture

Every dollar raised isn’t just helping me it’s investing in the visibility of adaptive athletes, breaking barriers for the disabled community, and showing what’s possible when resilience meets opportunity.

As we surpass $25,000, stretch goals will unlock the ability to:

  • $40,000 → Compete in more international qualifiers
  • $50,000 → Fund a full year of elite coaching and support
  • $100,000 → Sustain the journey through the Paralympic cycle

🤝 How You Can Help

  1. Donate what you can every contribution matters.
  2. Share this campaign with your network, friends, and family.
  3. Follow my journey on social media as I share updates, behind-the-scenes training, and competition milestones.

💜Closing Note

This dream isn’t just mine it’s ours. By supporting this campaign, you are walking with me on the path to the Paralympics. Together, we can prove that no obstacle is too great when we stand side by side.

Thank you for believing in me and helping me aim for gold.

With gratitude,

-Tracy
