Hi! Today is my birthday (May 7th) I am lucky to be turning 38 years young. I was misdiagnosed at 29 because I was denied more testing due to my age and no family history, 8 months later ... diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had spread from the "cyst" they said was not cancer to both my lungs, my sternum and lymph nodes in my left armpit. 24 rounds of IV chemo, double amputation of my breasts, removal of my ovaries, sepsis, hospital stays, 5 occurrences and more pokes than I could even count. I spend every day fighting for my life as I still have active tumors and spreading awareness to help save lives. After many, many, MANY outreaches on social media to start a crowd funding for myself to help with the burden, I have come to a compromise, I will post this crowd funding every day until the end of May, I will keep a portion of the proceeds but donate the majority to stage 4 research, to help save as many lives as we can. Currently 114 people DIE EVERY DAY from the same cancer I am battling and if we can find more research for stage 4 not only can we help prevent that, we can help save even more lives from earlier sage cancers.
