We are fundraising to be able to take our son to an intensive therapeutic program called SMILE Therapy for Kids located in Vaughn, Canada.
SMILE attendance would provide Jameson, with an opportunity to build and develop his motor skills, giving him a stronger foundation so that he might walk one day. We chose SMILE because the co-creator of the specialized physical therapy called Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) runs this specific clinic. Jameson currently receives weekly therapy using the DMI methods and his therapy team believes that attending this intensive program will positively propel him toward more independence.

A little bit about our guy and why this is such an incredible opportunity! - Jameson was born with a rare genetic condition called STXBP1. When we first learned of his diagnosis we had limited information and what felt like an endless list of negatives or "nevers". Fast-forward to today and our Jammo is nearly 3 years-old and he is making progress that we never imagined possible. He attends weekly therapies, he uses devices to communicate, stand and move, and he is working to figure out basic skills developmentally at a 6-9 month old standard (all in his own time). He is getting stronger everyday and we are limited as to what insurance will cover. This is where we need help.
It would be a dream to be able to support Jameson in obtaining even more skills. The recommended program at SMILE lasts 3 weeks, with 20 hours/week of intense therapies (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech, Feeding and other specialties offered by this clinic). All funds donated to this campaign will go directly to Jameson's therapeutic journey. Any remaining donations will go to his personal Able account, to save for additional therapies, and/or equipment. I have seen the difference that these intensive therapies can do for kids like Jam and he is at a great stage to build his skills and increase his strength. We can't even begin to express what it would mean to our family if we could take Jameson to SMILE's intensive program in March 2026.
Thank you for considering supporting our guy! #JAMSQUAD
