Hello, my name is Albina Udovika. I was born and raised in Mariupol, Ukraine. Currently, I live in US, but my entire family is in Ukraine.
On February 24, Russia invaded to Ukraine with full scale war. On March 2, Russian troops took Mariupol under full blokade, and started shelling the city from air, sea and ground. The entire city with 400,000 civilians became hostages. People didn't have gas, electricity, water, mobile signal and food. A lot of them died from hunger or bombs, there is huge humanitarian catastrophe!
I haven't heard anything from my family for 29 days, until they found the way to escape the city, my parentshome was completely destroyed, as many more buildings in Mariupol. The entire city is wiped out.
A lot of people were able to save their lives and escape, but they lost everything...their homes, cars, money, clothes, documents. They escaped from real hell, but right now have to fight with tough reality, where is no place to live, no job to earn money and zero understanding what to do next.
That is why I opened this fundraiser to collect money for my family, friends and people in need, who left Mariupol and lost everything. My goal is to give these suffered people another chance and hope to start their lives all over again.
