We're creating this fundraiser for Andreana who has been an incredible friend to so many of us. She is in a very difficult situation right now. She struggled with asking for help, as you all know she's a strong independent woman that is usually caring for everyone else around her, but this is time for us to support her and show her how loved and valued she is .
She is currently in a domestic violence situation and needs to get out as soon as possible. She has recently found the courage to leave after being abused for the last time. She is currently seeking temporary housing and is leaving with what personal items she can bring with her. She has to start her life over and rebuild it from the beginning. With just her loved ones and friends, and the fur babies, her ultimate goal is to find permanent housing.
Our goal: To raise funds for her to relocate to permanent housing.
For her and her animals. (this will include security deposit, first months rent, utilities, furniture, and other household needs) and support her with basic needs like food, clothing, medical bills, storage, transportation, healthcare (including counseling and therapy to support emotional and psychological healing), and needs for her pets who we all know she loves so much.
Remember that every little bit helps so if you can give $5 please do so and if you can do more that's wonderful too! If you can't give monetarily, maybe you could help by lending a hand in another way. She is very limited on time and needs all the help she can get. Let's help to provide safety, support, hope, and healing in a time where she has felt isolation, fear, and helplessness and powerlessness. The heartbreaking reality of abuse is that it's behind closed doors and affects so many people from all walks of life, including someone that we've all known as a confident, intelligent, boisterous, fun, loving, and a fiercely loyal friend.
For those who don't know, Andreana has also been battling multiple autoimmune diseases after having her thyroid removed due to cancer 3 years ago. These health issues have been exacerbated by the extreme abuse, in her living environment, which as you can imagine, heightens the challenges of trying to start a new life independently.
Remember that she also needs to hear how loved she is. Abusers like to isolate they're victims. She may struggle to respond to people reaching out right now but reach out anyway and let her know how special she is and remind her that she is still strong and loved and will get through this. Thank you all in advance for your support.
With love and compassion,
Beth, Jean and Laura and all her tribe
