Cancer sucks, but I’m learning to better advocate for myself and ask for help when needed. I am fiercely independent, and this is not an easy thing for me to do.
In March 2025 I was diagnosed with stage 1 triple positive breast cancer. I had surgery in May to remove the mass, and am now being treated with 12 rounds of chemotherapy, which will be followed by 16 rounds of radiation. Treatment has been hard on my body and I have been unable to work. Thankfully, I was able to take leave from my job; however, I am now faced with unexpected and costly medical bills due to issues with insurance and the original care team treating me. I’m facing close to $15,000 in medical bills for my MRI and biopsy that lead to my diagnosis.
That aside, I am asking for support as I finish chemotherapy and move on to radiation. All funds will go towards living and medical expenses to help keep us afloat while I finish treatment. Any help is so gratefully appreciated!
