My name is Katelyn, and I lost my vision 3 1/2 years ago at the age of 26 due to rationing my insulin. I have type 1 diabetes and couldn't afford insulin which lead me to rationing it.
When I first lost my vision, I had a professional massage which brought my vision to come back for less than an hour in my left eye! At the age of 29, I have made the decision to go to school and get my massage therapy license!
I truly feel that Massage Therapy Healing chose Me as my life path. However, being unemployed and living off disability makes this dream of mine difficult. I have found the school that I want to attend, they do not accept state funding, scholarships, etc.
My future goal is to open my own studio to not only help heal others, but offer jobs to the disabled community.
HUGE thanks to everybody who has donated to get the first goal raised, to get my foot in the door in time for the first day! The entire course is 6 months and we only need $6800 left to reach goal #2! I haven't figured out how I will come up with the rest of the tuition but I know When there's a will there's a way! .
