My name is Tasia Wallace (Hinojos). I am a teacher and mom of three from the United States. This campaign is to raise urgently needed funds for the Mima family. They are a family of 7 displaced in Rafah.
These are the words of 16-year-old Dana Ahmed Mima:

"I am Dana Ahmed Mima I am 16 years old from Gaza City. I was displaced to Rafah after the demolition of my house and my family’s house, which consisted of 5 floors.

My family consists of 7 people:
My father- Ahmed, is 38 years old
My mother- Hanin, is 32 years old
I am Dana, 16 years old
My sister Dima-14 years old
My brother Muhammad- 12 years old
My brother Abdul Hakim- 8 years old
My brother Hassan- 4 years old

I need your help and support to save my life and my family from war. We need 50,000 to evacuate in order to gain safety and security, as well as rebuild my father's business.
My dreams before the war were simple. I hoped to finish my studies with a high grade. I was trying to get an iPhone. Now my dreams are for me and my family to stay alive and also to go to another town. I want to get out of death.
It is impossible to say what was the hardest when we left our home, when we heard the bombing of the house we had lived in all our lives, when my father lost his shops and his business, when we heard the missiles as if they were ours. We have seen death more than once, and miraculously survived more than once as well. We are now in tents in Summer heat, and the sun's rays burn us. Insects are everywhere, and our lives are all going through difficult times right now."
Please help the Mima family escape the imminent ground invasion in Rafah. This 16-year-old young lady is doing everything she can to save her family. Let us stand with her and do all we can.
Below you will find how the funds will be used:
5,000-6,000 per person to evacuate to Egypt
2,500 for children
The rest of the money to get established and rebuild our lives
Processing fees: 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction
Thank you so much for donating and/or sharing Dana's story. May you be blessed beyond measure.
