Help My Family Find a Safe Place to Call Home
My name is Tiranika , and asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I have always tried to take care of my family on my own, but right now I need a helping hand.
I am a mother of eight children . One of my sons is permanently paralyzed from the neck down after a tragic car accident. He requires around-the-clock care and depends on a wheelchair, a hospital bed, a Hoyer lift, and other medical equipment every day. Finding a home that meets his accessibility needs has been incredibly difficult.
I have been approved for a housing voucher and have found a home that can give my family the space and stability we need. The biggest obstacle now is the security deposit, which I cannot afford on my own. Without it, I could lose this opportunity to move my family into a safe and stable home.
I am not asking anyone to solve all of our problems. I’m simply asking for help with this one important step. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to securing a home where my children can feel safe and where my disabled son can receive the care he needs in a space that works for him.
