The life they once knew has been completely destroyed. Their home was left in unlivable conditions but they choose that over a tent, and every day brings new terror and uncertainty. The family was displaced multiple times over 25 months and is now sheltering in the ruins of their home with no safety, and the conditions are harrowing. With aid access severely restricted in the North, and the price of basic necessities skyrocketing, they face a daily struggle against starvation, disease, and fear.
Your support helps us provide direct aid to this family
Ā
- Food and clean water: Foraging for food is a constant and dangerous effort, with prices making even basic meals a luxury. Funds will provide them with what little food is available and as much safe drinking water as possible.
- Shelter and safety: With no home, they are forced to endure precarious conditions, exposed to the elements and ongoing danger. The money will help them secure safer, temporary shelter.
- Medicine and healthcare: Access to medical supplies is nearly impossible. This family includes vulnerable members who need medicine for chronic conditions, but their needs are going unmet. Support can help them access critical medications and treatment for injuries or illnesses.
Despite the immense trauma they have endured Basel and Osama are holding on to hope for a future. They are not just a story in the news; they are a family of seven individuals who deserve to live with dignity and safety.
