Chris Evans has been a huge supporter of the Girl Powerful movement - recently donating his screen used Captain America's shield from Avengers: Endgame to help us raise funds on *spotfund. Our organization, along with Chris, believe that empowering the female youth is the key to a prosperous life for adult women.
Girl Powerful is a youth empowerment 501(c)3, co-founded by sisters Tedi and Sonya Serge, designed to give female youth the tools to build a strong sense of self. Our mission is to make all girls feel seen, valued and heard.™ Our Girl Powerful philosophy & curriculum is based on socio-emotional learning (SEL) and is endorsed by L. Edmondson Ed. D.
Girl Powerful Mission:
- After School Enrichment Program: Girl Powerful is a youth program designed to encourage children to lead active and healthy lives. We offer three 10 week enrichment programs in independent schools: #GIRLPOWERFUL, Dance Your Heart Out and Oceanography. Our lessons are based on our belief in respect, high self-esteem, Los Angeles community involvement, nature and being active.
- Self-Love Club for Women: Girl Powerful believes in community building and connection. We host quarterly Self-Love Club events for women to gather, self-reflect, connect and be hands-on. Events can be centered around self-care or movement. Past partners include TOMS, Sweaty Betty, The Created Co., Barry’s Bootcamp, SoulCycle, Superba Food + Bread, BoxUnion, CycleBar, RYU and more.
- The Girl Powerful program is a dedicated "safe space" where female youth are informally encouraged to build positive self-esteem, set and achieve goals, manage emotions, develop a mind body connection, self-reflect and find value in female unity.
