Campaign Title: Lift Up Lynette: Help Her Bridge the Gap to Stable Work
Story:
If you know Lynette, you know she is the first person to show up for others. She’s the friend who remembers your birthday, the one who offers to help you move without being asked, and the person who makes everyone feel welcome.
For years, Lynette has been a dedicated and reliable worker, showing up every day with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. But recently, through no fault of her own, she was caught in a wave of company-wide layoffs. Suddenly, the rug was pulled out from under her.
Like so many others right now, Lynette is facing an incredibly tough job market. She has been doing everything right: she has updated her resume, applied for countless positions, networked with contacts, and even picked up part-time gigs just to keep some cash flowing. She is working hard to hold it all together, but the part-time work while appreciated simply isn't enough to cover the full cost of her monthly rent.
Lynette is now facing a terrifying reality: the risk of falling behind on her housing. All she needs is a bridge. She just needs enough stability to catch her breath and focus on finding a full-time role that matches her skills and experience.
Where the Money Will Go:
We are raising funds to cover six months of rent for Lynette. Securing her housing is the number one priority right now so she doesn't have to worry about where she will sleep while she fights to get back on her feet.
By taking the immediate pressure of rent off her shoulders, we can give her the mental space and time she needs to secure a sustainable income.
