Dear Friends and Family,
Our journey to fatherhood began in late 2023, and like many adoption stories, it has been a whirlwind of high hopes and unexpected turns. After a heartbreak early last year when a potential match fell through, we found ourselves standing in a moment of incredible joy and a bit of a time crunch!
We are thrilled to announce that we have matched with a birth mother and are expecting to welcome our son this July.
This match is incredibly special, our future son is the bio brother of a child belonging to our dear friends. The birth mother chose us specifically because she wants the siblings to grow up near one another and remain a part of each other’s lives. Because this connection happened organically before we even signed with an agency, our timeline has been fast-tracked. Usually, families have 6-18 months after signing with an agency before a match is made then additional time until the baby is born. We were presented with this opportunity to start our family with only five months before the due date. We are now three months out!
We are working tirelessly and making significant personal sacrifices to pay the high costs of the adoption process and purchasing all necessary baby items, not to mention the drive and hotel stay while in Florida.
We are currently applying for several grants, many of which require us to demonstrate "community support" through crowdfunding. As we do not have financial assistance from our extended families, we are turning to you our "chosen family".
We are asking for your financial support to help us bring our son home. Whether it’s $10 or $100, every bit helps us meet our goal and shows grant committees that we have a village standing behind us.
