The Hendricks family have been some of the most warm and welcoming people I've ever been blessed to be able to cross paths with. The focal point of the family as far as I have known them has always been Grandma Yvonne. She was the sunshine on a cloudy day type of person that always greeted everyone with a smile and seem to always have nothing but love and acceptance for everyone that she came into contact with or anyone that walked through their front door. Two almost three years ago she sadly was diagnosed with leukemia and was originally given 6 months maximum to live. Thanks to her faith, her best friend and fur baby named bananas who was gifted by her granddaughter, and the love and support of the family that she has met her life structuring and bringing together. When she was younger she made a point to have have a large family that consisted of two of her own daughters and many more children that she adopted over the years. She made a point to see every single one of them as her children and anyone in the Next Generation down as her grandchildren no questions asked. I myself was even blessed to be called one of her grandchildren and receive her love. Three of her adult children and two of her grandchildren including myself originally had made a point to live together in this hard and expensive economy in order to have a larger space and as much help as possible to make sure that Grandma was always comfortable and happy and given the best. Sadly the family lost grandma not long after Christmas and it was the most emotional blow that I have seen since I got the privilege of knowing this family. It seemed as though there was a domino effect that transpired. The domino effect started with Grandma losing her best friend and kitty bananas which led to sadness and US losing her. Since losing her I have witnessed the family fall into Financial turmoil given the state of our country financially as well as unemployment rate it all has affected this family greatly. With two of the family members struggling physically at no fault of their own, to the other being hit by a drunk driver at 60 miles an hour and having to deal with the stress of Court in an inability to drive while living a good distance from town. To the homeowner of the home that they have been renting for years deciding to tell them that they are selling the property to now then receiving an eviction notice without any Financial backup or and not to catch them. They fear being able to find a new home for the now for adults two cats and two dogs. They want to stick together due to the disabilities and them having a relationship as a family of holding each other up as much as they can. Without having a financial cushion due to multiple events and traumatic situations that they have all had to endure I would hate to see this family be left without home to turn to and even more so to see them stress as much as they have been when they definitely don't deserve it given the kindness that I've seen them Express to others and especially myself. I want to raise this money in order to provide them with at least a start to get into and find a new rental home for them to live in that will accept pets as well as provide a space for those pets seeing as how they have been the emotional support of the members of this family through it all. A lot of us can say that we have been through hardship and stress and it has been such a struggle to get out of it and some of us just need a little bit of extra help especially when already feeling at their lowest and I definitely think that this family deserves it to the fullest extent. They don't have much time left on their eviction. But I still want to do my best to try to give them anything that's going to help them in their situation while grieving the loss of the focal point of their family as well as a moment to breathe and not feel like they're drowning completely.
