Dear family, friends & kind hearted strangers,
We are reaching out today with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. Lora and I are facing a dire situation and are in danger of losing our home due to financial hardship still being caused by oncoming medical issues.
I have not been able to work due to my leg amputation & on going serious health issues, but I’m currently exploring retraining options to hopefully re-enter the work force. Lora did find a job, but at this point in the game, It seems like it’s not enough.
Asking for monetary help of any kind is very difficult for us. Over the past three years, we have drained our savings, cashed out our 401(k)s & have done everything we could to survive.
Our mortgage company will not work with us unless we have All the money to pay our loan completely off. They have already sent their lawyers our information to start the foreclosure proceedings (so that is why there is a demand for the balance due).
We have been in this home for over 20 years. This was our first & only home our boys & our grandson has ever known. Despite our best efforts we’ve done, we are still struggling to save it from foreclosure.
Losing our home at this point will not only be devastating, but it will leave us with no place to live or a clear path forward for us.
We are striving to try & raise $40,000.00 to pay of the demands letter from our mortgage company attorneys. Our vision is to invite individuals to contribute in whatever way they can, whether it’s a small donation or large, any type of donation would mean a lot, nothing is too small. Your donations along with others will help us achieve our goal of not becoming homeless, and we are also committed to using every penny with the utmost care and responsibility that goes towards our mortgage.
