If you’ve ever had the privilege of knowing Lydia Stokes, you know she is one of the kindest, most selfless people you’ll ever meet. A devoted educator at Ballast Point Elementary, where she is- A devoted educator at Ballast Point Elementary, a gifted teacher at The Studio South Tampa, and an advocate for music and the arts. Lydia has given so much of herself to children, colleagues, and friends. She makes everyone feel like a lifelong friend. Right now, Lydia is facing a deeply painful loss: the passing of her mother. Alongside the grief, there are also the weight of funeral expenses and the challenge of taking time away from work to heal. Lydia would never ask for this, but this is our chance to give back to her.
