Exciting news!!! Kaylee has enrolled into cosmology school and will start on January 2nd, 2024!!!
Empire Beauty School was beyond excited to have her join their team! More importantly she is excited! Kaylee has struggled for many years to find her path and get the confidence she used to have. She has struggled with MAJOR depression and anxiety since the Oct 1 shooting we all survived (Thank God) and other life situations no teenage girl should ever go through. We moved her out of Las Vegas as fast as we could and relocated to FL where we thought she’d be happy, and things got worse for her. After 3 years we moved to our mountain house in Utah and again she couldn’t push through the depression and literally couldn’t get out of bed for over a year. She finally got the strength one day and got a job at our local pub where instantly we saw a huge change in her. She had friends, was going places, being social and active! A girl who barely left the bed for years (literally years) started hiking major mountains and trails multiple times a week with her great friend and their dogs! We have moved back to FL and she knew she could never let her brain go back to the depression. Thanks to a great friend, he got her a job the first week we moved here, but unfortunately she was unhappy there so she quit, and the next day was looking up schools. Kaylee has been doing her makeup and hair to perfection since she was 12-13 years old and we have always told her to go to school because of her talent and she was to scared to even try. Empire will teach her everything! cosmology, esthiology(skincare),    nails, how to own a salon, the business and financial side of owning a salon. They also hold job fairs where they have to set up their booth with a business presentation of what their salon would look like and salons from all over FL come and offer them jobs. She will be licensed in all 50 states as well! She will be full time for 10 months and will be working part time (she’s still looking for a job) to pay for school. Tuition is $20,000 and she needs $3000 before January 2nd! She has applied for loans, grants and can/will apply for scholarships once she starts in Jan. Paying for school is hard, so we are reaching out to everyone. We don’t want her getting out of school in debt, if we could pay for it we 100% would but we can’t do it. We’d be forever grateful if you could help her out, every dollar helps! We know it’s been a rough year, now it’s the holidays, and money is super tight.. so we’ll keep the site up until she graduates in September 2024. We are so proud and beyond excited for her!
