Please help my cousin and her daughters, with some of their beloved Drake's emergency vet bills. Drake is a beautiful American Pitbull that they rescued just 8 short months ago. Drake has been the light of their eyes ever since, and has brought so much joy and happiness to Kylie and Claire. He is really one of the best dogs around, despite his love of chewing up anything he finds, especially shoes and socks 🤪
Drake loves to play and run with his sister, Chloe, and loves to chase squirrels and turtles... He loves to cuddle and sleep with Kylie, and helps protect everyone from any little noise he hears. He loves to jump up and PEEP through the window of the front door, especially when he knows the girls are eating a snack.
Unfortunately Drake got out of the yard this past Sunday, and was hit by a car. The girls unfortunately heard the event, and the oldest, Kylie, took it especially hard.
They rushed him to the emergency Vet, and the diagnosis was pretty horrible.
Drake had a torn Diaphragm, Pulmonary Contusions, a ruptured bladder, and a large laceration under his belly. Miraculously not one broken bone though. Drake required surgery that took 4 hours just to save his life. He is recovering, and should be home soon, but the family desperately needs help with the large emergency vet bills that totaled almost 5,000 dollars. Anything can help get this baby better and help with his care. The girls could not live without this beloved dog.
