Hello, I'm Shivani Sharma, International Ms. India, and I'm on a mission to redefine the landscape of STEM fields. As a Ph.D. student, President- Indian Student Alliance, Vice President- Graduate Student Association, Poet and Senator of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS), my journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and passion.
Growing up in India, I discovered my love for poetry at a young age. Poetry became my sanctuary, a place where I could express my dreams and aspirations freely. Despite facing societal expectations and gender stereotypes, I refused to let anything hinder my academic pursuits.
Throughout my academic career, I've embraced both my scientific and artistic sides. My research in Neuroscience is driven by a desire for innovation, while my poetry speaks to the universal experiences of triumph and adversity. I believe that creativity and critical thinking are essential tools in any field, including STEM.
As the Senator of Engineering and Applied Science at UCCS, I advocate fiercely for the inclusion of women in STEM. Drawing from my own experiences as a woman in a male-dominated field, I work tirelessly to promote diversity and equity. Every voice deserves to be heard, and I'm committed to ensuring that women have a seat at the table.
Beyond academia, I use my platform as International Ms. India to inspire others and drive change. Through fundraising and outreach efforts, I raise awareness and resources for programs that support women in STEM. I firmly believe that by empowering women, we can unlock endless possibilities and drive innovation forward.
My journey is a testament to the limitless potential of women in STEM. With determination and passion, I continue to break barriers and challenge stereotypes, leaving a lasting impact on the world around me.

Still She Rose is a wellness program for leaders, women and teens in the pageant industry. Funded by the B4ACUSA Foundation, wellness program initiatives are open to all pageant community members.
The ROSE is symbolic of the spirit that grows within each of us when proper care and attention is applied.
Together, we can encourage wellness through self care, positive body image, renewed self esteem and affirmation of one's identity beyond pageantry. We aim to engage in a conversation of support, honesty, reflection and awareness, in order to promote wellness as the foundation of the pageant industry.
Because each of us can say, She Struggled; and Still She Rose.
