I am a teacher in South Florida that began my screenwriting journey three years ago. I have won several awards and nominations, which I couldn’t be more grateful for.
This September, my screenplay “Djinn” is nominated for Best International Screenplay at the Toronto Nollywood International Film Festival (TINFF). I have been unable to attend past film festivals due to finances, but have decided to attend TINFF’s 10th anniversary festival events.
I am very proud of the response to this screenplay and would love support in reaching the festival this year.
About the screenplay:
Saeed, 16-year old Syrian refugee, discovers a ring with a wish-granting djinn and attempts to change his family's tragic past, only to learn that some events are destined to repeat no matter how he tries to prevent them.
