In 2023, I began running to improve my mental health. It was a welcome challenge to which I quickly took a liking. I entered local races, took part regularly in Parkruns, and joined my school’s cross-country team. I slowly became skilled at running long-distance. My running community introduced me to the world of triathletes, and I never looked back! I began swimming again, taking part in school swim meets and open-water events. When I got injured, I took up cycling for the first time, participating in long-distance road events—and even qualifying for The 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Niseko, Japan. At the beginning of my Junior year, I made it my goal to participate in an Ironman 70.3 upon graduating high school. I have trained for 15 hours each week for 2 and a half years in preparation for this event; and I need help securing the funds to sign up for the race. I love this sport and it would mean the world to me to showcase my skill.
