Welcome to the fifth year of Peaks With a Purpose!
Peaks brings together a love of skiing with a commitment to making a meaningful impact. Each year, participants challenge themselves to ski 40,000 vertical feet in a single day. It is both a marathon and a sprint, requiring nearly nonstop skiing for seven hours.
This is my first year participating, and I am excited to join this incredible community in support of a powerful cause!
If you or someone you know would be interested in joining Peaks V at any mountain on any date this year, please complete an entry form and you will receive all the information you need to participate.
Over the first four years, participants have raised more than $120,000. Past fundraising has supported civilian victims in Ukraine, U.S. veterans, mental health initiatives, environmental preservation efforts, ski equipment for underprivileged children, and many other deserving organizations.
Our goal this year is for participants to collectively ski more than 2 million vertical feet and raise over $70,000. Let’s make it happen.
This year, my fundraising efforts will support Project Healing Waters, an organization dedicated to healing America's veterans and active duty service members through fly fishing and associated outdoor activities. Project Healing Waters provides therapeutic programming, mentorship, and a supportive community that helps veterans build confidence, resilience, and connection as they navigate life after service.
On Friday, March 20th, a group of us will take on 40,000 vertical feet at Killington. If you would like to support me and this cause, please consider making a donation in any amount. All donations are tax-deductible. If you prefer to donate through a Donor Advised Fund, you can do so directly through your provider and note that the contribution is in support of Peaks With a Purpose benefiting Project Healing Waters (Tax ID: 61-1518154).
Just as importantly, please feel free to share this link with friends and family who love skiing or who care deeply about supporting veterans and their well-being.
Thank you for your support. I look forward to sharing the results of our day on the mountain and the impact we will make together.
Tyler
