Hello everyone,
On the early morning of Saturday March 21st our family home of 40+ years had a devastating fire, leaving my step mother, her siblings, two niece’s, and nephew without a place to stay permanently. They are currently staying in a hotel but will eventually need to find permanent housing.
We are in the works of talking with Red Cross and other organizations to see about vouchers on reduced housing deposits or something of that nature. We are trying to see what is recoverable from the home, they were able to obtain all of their clothing items thankfully along, with a couple of other valuables and important documents and sentimental items.
We are asking everyone to come together to help us in this desperate time of need, as hotel costs and food cost will start become strenuously expensive on them. Unfortunately, we were literally in the process of finding a new home insurance company due too the one we had not covering michigan anymore (ANH Insurance) , between the busyness of life and work we just had not had time to secure a new plan. Any help is much appreciated, even recommendations for resources. I do have pictures for reference, I opted not to post them due too the delicacy of the sentimental value this home held for a lot of people.
