Dear Friends,
Since the very beginning I have always been blown away on how encouraging, caring, and supportive our members are to one another. I explain to others that joining AF Atascocita is more than a gym membership, you truly become part of a family. Daily I watch relationships form, bonds grow, and complete strangers become the best of friends. I’m in awe of the genuine kindness our members show one another. So, with that said, I need your help!
Chances are you know, or at least have heard of Roko. Roko’s our gentle giant from Fiji that smiles, giggles, and hugs complete strangers. He exudes love! He lifts a MASSIVE amount of weight, but also lifts the hearts and sprits of everyone around him. Unfortunately, this past week Roko’s family experienced a devastating loss. He and his family said goodbye to their 3-year-old daughter, Lana Marie. Over the course of this past last year, I’ve heard Roko tell stories of hospital stays and grueling procedures no parent wants to see their child go through. Through it all though Roko always spoke of his daughter with hope. Sadly, due to recent surgeries and complications, little Lana Marie lost her battle with hydrocephalus.
This is where I ask for your help. Medical expenses add up. We all know surgeries, procedures, and long hospital stays are costly. Coping with the loss of a child while providing for your family is mentally and financially stressful. Please join us and show Roko and his family the love that he has always shown us! Any amount, small or large, will truly make a difference for this family. Please considering helping.
