Dear friends, family, and anyone with a big heart:

I have been in and out of hospitals, care centers, and other public health support places since before the start of the year. 

Now in a "board and care" home since March 15. I have limited mobility and need more care than they can provide here. 

The story of how I ended up here is a long one, and I don't have the patience or concentration to tell the whole tale using this tiny keyboard. Believe me, you'd likely faint or cry once you know it. 

I've lost around 50 pounds since the start of the year. I am weak and need help with my meds, personal hygiene, and physical rehabilitation. 

I am still paying rent on my "current" apartment, plus rent here at the board and care. And I have other debts that Beth and I incurred during the past few years. 

I know you've heard a plea like this from me in the past, but I am in terribly dire straits and need at least $5000 to carry me through April, by which time the help I've been awaiting should kick in. There are so many agencies here in Cali that seem to want to help, but the gears are turning slowly and none of them seem to be able to coordinate with the others.

If you have helped before, or not, please consider this my ultimate plea, and wish me well, if nothing else.
