Update 10/1
Probably final update:
Miriam and I are entering the fourth month of our new life.
The Good:
It has been a time of chaos and fear, but also growth and healing. We have the support of our community and are learning to rebuild. School has started and we are establishing new routines and goals for the coming year. My job at the animal shelter is amazing. Life is full of daily joy, and we are resting in our newfound peace and safety.
The Bad:
The challenges are still immense though. I’m exhausted, but not sleeping. The house is falling apart around me, and I have no energy to clean. I need a second job but my physical limitations are making it more difficult than I anticipated. I’m hoping to find a housemate, but need to ensure that they would be a safe addition to our home.
The Ugly:
If I don’t have a solution found within a few weeks, we will lose everything. I’m out of time, energy, and ideas.

Update 9/3
Jeremy had a third visit with inpatient, from which his mother drove to Bellingham to pick him up. She stayed with him there for a few days, but he remained in BHam when she left. He’s been sleeping in shelters or his hammock.
Additionally, to protect myself and our daughter, I have made the difficult decision to step away from being his caretaker anymore. I sought aid from my local DV shelter and began the process in early July, which is why he hasn’t returned home. He is looking for work and housing independently now. Please private message me rather than comment for questions about this part.

Update 8/14
They held him until the following weekend and released him again around 5th.
He managed somehow until Friday when the car was towed. Since then, he’s been even more erratic and, as far as I know, hasn’t been heard from by family or friends. He lost his keys, phone, and wallet, so has no access to money or communication.
Update 7/31
Jeremy was released after one week, against all evidence that he wasn’t stable. He returned home to get his car and had been living in it for a week or so. He drove to Bellingham where he was arrested again and taken to another hospital this past weekend.

Hi friends. This past month, Jeremy’s bipolar disorder took an abrupt and drastic turn. He suffered an extreme psychotic break like I’ve never seen. He was finally taken off island for treatment on Friday, the 14th, and will remain in the hospital until stable. Potentially a few months.
Miriam and I are safe and as well as can be expected, but we need a little help now. I am looking for a second job to replace Jeremy’s lost income, but it will take time.
Please help us pay our bills for the next two months while I get my feet under me again.
