Seven months ago, my 21‑year‑old daughter and I had to leave our home with only what we could fit into our two cars after a domestic violence situation made it unsafe to stay. We drove across the country to protect her, and since then I’ve been trying to rebuild our lives while seeking employment. Because my professional counseling license is only valid in certain states, I haven’t been able to work in my field, and we have exhausted every bit of savings just trying to get by.
I have finally been hired for a Crisis Counselor position in Montana — over 2,000 miles away — and I must be there by May 4, 2026, to start. This job is a real chance for us to regain stability now that my daughter is safe. The only barrier left is getting there.
At this point, I am completely out of funds and am asking for help so we can relocate. We need support for gas for two vehicles, hotel stays along the way, and enough to keep us afloat for the first two weeks until I receive my first paycheck.
