Hello, my name is Brooke and I am a 33-year-old single mother of three wonderful children, aged 13, 9, and 7. I am reaching out today because I need your support to give my kids and myself a fresh start and a safe, stable home.
My family has faced many hardships — I lost both of my parents and my stepfather to cancer, and recently, I lost both of my jobs due to them closing down, leaving us in a very difficult situation causing me to have to depend on my oldest kids father for a roof over our heads but he is a very mentally and emotionally abusive person. The constant screaming and yelling make it impossible for us to feel safe or at peace, not to mention having 5 of us in a 1 bed room house when the tension is so bad already, is causing so much stress.
With my children’s birthdays coming up next month, I want to give them a special celebration and the stability of a new home. Being away from the chaos and negativity would mean everything to us. I am trying to raise funds to cover moving expenses, first month’s rent, and essential household items.
