Adam came up to a trapper, almost as if he was asking for help. He was TnR (trap and neutered) but he wasn't released because he looked so thin and friendly that we thought perhaps once he gains some weight and can thrive indoors, we would find him a home. The homeless community where he was trapped said he was abandoned. He's been living as a stray for over 2 years.
Adam has been through 5 vet visits since he came to me late May with 3 different clinics. Even after the full blood panel, no one was able to tell us what is wrong with him. He would eat but would skip meals, too. His breath had an odor. He was in bed 23.5 hours a day. He only jumps down when he needs to use the litter box. Most of the time he's either be sleeping or hiding.
The veterinarian at El Gato Veterinary Hospital was able to diagnose him today. He has stomatitis and sores in his mouth. His gums has an infection. We were given something to relieve his pain and antibiotics for his infection. We are grateful that Peninsula CatWorks helped us with the exam today and will be sponsoring some of his dental estimates, but we do need help with the rest. I really hate to ask for donations, but I'd really appreciate it if you can consider helping us. Even $5 would mean so much. If you cannot donate, I understand because times are tough now. If you can help share his story, that'd be wonderful and appreciated too.
Thank you for reading and for supporting Adam!
