Hello everyone. We are reaching out for help. We are a 5th generation ranch in Petaluma. We run the family meat business on this ranch. We raise beef and lamb from birth to plate on our property. We have just lost our historic hay barn to a fire. It was our everything. We used it to store hay and fencing materials, as well as, to house our sheep and cattle. We stored everything we needed to run the cattle ranch in that barn. The barn was built in the late 1920’s out of solid redwood, something that is irreplaceable in this day and age. It was built by our family to milk cows in. It still had the original equipment in the barn. The Beffa Family was part of the dairy co-op for many years. Over the years it as been used as a Cow-calf operation. Since then it now supports our beef and lamb business. We are unique because we raise and harvest on the property. It takes the whole family to make the ranch work. It may be hard work but it's also very rewarding. We are hoping with the support of our community we can raise enough money to rebuild our beloved barn . We hope to have it look as similar as possible to the original. Unfortunately the insurance money only gets us started. Please we are not asking for large donations but if we can get just a million people to donate a dollar each, it can make the biggest difference to our small ranch.
