Constantly drawing, illustrating, and narrating vivid tales that spring from her incredible imagination. Her room is a sanctuary of creativity, where stories come alive through her illustrations, where dreams of becoming an animator and book illustrator take flight.
Grace is a naturally diligent and frugal person, who started working for Publix at 14 to save for her education. She managed to set aside nearly $6,000, demonstrating her commitment to her dreams. Grace's talent didn't go unnoticed. Her artwork decorated the halls of Spanish River High and even caught the eye of the decision makers at the Norton Museum of Art, where one of her art pieces was proudly displayed for over a year.
Graces unwavering dedication led her to the next chapter of her dream at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), a school that embodies her aspiration to refine her artistic prowess. With incredible perseverance, Grace managed to reduce the annual $63,000 tuition to $23,000 through scholarships, grants and just plain hard work! Yet, her financial journey isn't over.
