My friend Cee Cie agreed to foster a young Mom and her 4 newborn kittens. (They are like 1 day old.)
Little did she know they were TANGLED together ~ their umbilical cords were wrapped up, dangerously cutting off circulation to legs and limbs.
I found out at 1am the night she got them. I was supposed to work the next day (Wednesday, July 16th) but got it covered and rushed to her.
I put them in a carrier and took them to the ASPCA ~ walking and taking a bus.
The ASPCA said they could not assist, even though, at that point, I saw the tangle was BLEEDING.
I quickly wrapped them up in a towel tightly together, and took 2 trains to the ER VET, VERG in Brooklyn.
I am here now: they said 1 kitten was ok. She is named Gwen and is nursing with her Mom, Mary.
1 Kitten, Marlo, had her intestines being pulled out by the tangle. She had to be put down.
The other two, Coconut + Ranger have a chance, but broken legs, that may later need to be amputated. They also need antibiotics and fluids. But we wanted to give them a chance at life.
I am helping my friend as a favor, since she has a young baby, and was not able to leave the house to get these kittens the care they urgently needed.
I am unable to pay the exam fee of $234 and I do not know what the total costs will be.
We need help. Please donate whatever you can for these kittens ~ I am doing everything possible. Anything helps ππ»β€οΈπ π»ππβ¨
