In September of 2023, at the age of 32, Steve was diagnosed with ALS. Steve is a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, friend. Steve and his wife, Ali, were married in August of 2020 surrounded by their closest family and friends in the middle of a pandemic. They welcomed their daughter, Isla, in October of 2021 and their son, Nico, in April of 2023.

Right now Steve is doing very well overall. We are focusing on navigating one day at a time. With an ALS diagnosis comes a world of unknowns, and the most intimidating and overwhelming unknown is the rate of progression. Due to this, we are currently in the very beginning stages of planning for an addition that will already be set up for any and all necessary home modifications that may be needed in the future. Having this space ready will allow us to focus on enjoying every day, every moment, as a family.
