Hello! My name is Monica Romero and I am asking for your help to represent Virginia as Miss Virginia this year. This is an exciting journey that I am excited to embark on because I am dedicated to empowering our community and nation.
My mission is to amplify Latina voices by providing inspiration and representation as a PhD student of Mecanical and Aerospace Engineering. My mission is not only for Latinas but for the empowerment of everyone, woman or man, to pursue careers in STEM because we can all be passionate about science!
The Miss Virginia Opportunity Inc. is a registered 501(c)(4) non-profit organization and an official state program of the Miss America Opportunity. Scholarships are administered by the Margaret R Baker Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We support all the national sponsors and particularly the American Heart Association by promoting good health and fitness.
