On May 27th of 2020, I received a call asking to help a little boy to have a safe place to stay for the night because his mother was in a domestic violence relationship. I agreed to help not knowing that I would be viciously attacked from behind. My throat was slit and my carotid artery severed leaving me with 87% nerve damage on the whole right side of my body. I'm a single mom who is no longer able to work due to the injuries I sustained. It is unusual for me to ask for help, but it is very much needed.
