Hello everyone my name is Kayla. On September 27th 2024 me and my 3 children lost everything we owned because of hurricane Helene. Our house flooded and we didn’t have time to grab anything we loved or cared about. To tell you a little about my family I have 2 boys ages 6 and 9, and a girl age 5. Both of my boys are on the spectrum and change is very difficult for them. After the hurricane we have been homeless through the winter months. We slept in a 10 person text for 7 months before fema ever check to help us. We are now in an apartment but still need a lot of help to get us back to what feels like normal. This is a stepping stone place for us and I’d love to be able to get my Babies into a house because they very much deserve it after everything they have been through.
