Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is staffed by approximately 250 physicians, dentists, and allied health professionals representing more than 50 medical specialties.

A campus of Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital offers a diverse array of clinical services, ranging from primary medical care to specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedics and bariatrics.

As the South Fork’s only emergency care facility, the Jenny & John Paulson Emergency Department is open year-round. It is a Level III Trauma Center, with surgical residents in-house 24|7 and a full team available within a 30-minute response time. Nationally recognized as a high performing ER*, it also offers a ‘Fast Track’ to address with minor injuries and illnesses as quickly as possible. The hospital includes a Heart and Stroke Center and a new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory was opened at the hospital in 2018. The Stony Brook Southampton hospital also includes The Breast Health Center, The Center for Advanced Wound Healing, and 32 satellite care centers throughout the South Fork of Long Island. The hospital is the largest employer on the South Fork with more than 1,200 employees.
