Hi,
I hope this finds you well. I am an individual living in Oak Harbor seeking funding to buy a small (1 acre or less) piece of sunny land to live and grow food on for myself and perhaps a few others, or contribute to a larger purchase of land with other like-minded folks. I have been a successful self employed gardener for 10 years and am doing all I can to help the world by unplugging from long supply chains and trying to sustain myself from as local as possible.
I've always been faithful in my work on top of being a hard and smart worker, and I do my best to be a good influence on others. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering for the local branch of the Tilth Alliance, where I get to meet like-minded people. I also like to write, and meet and play sports with folks from all walks at the Coupeville green at weekly open events I've organized.
I've given up many indulgences of the modern world, and have been happy living off grid for a year now, save for charging my phone. I live in an 18' camper that I own and all I need is water access on a piece of land, and permission to live there in my camper year round.
Rest assured any investment sent my way would go to someone who would pour their heart, soul, and every ounce of themself into making and safeguarding something good. I'd like to grow food that could feed a few people and fulfill all their nutritional needs year round, protein crops like dry beans, English walnut, Hall's hardy almond, as well as vegetables that I could preserve for the winter with homemade vinegar.
The garden would also be a resource / learning center for the community, shining light on the wonders of regenerative agriculture, organic, permaculture, no-till farming. These are tenets I have studied and seen working all over the world.
The prospect of having, steading, and sharing a farm like this with my community on a piece of property I call home is a wonderful source of excitement for me, an opportunity I can't let go unsearched for.
I'd be happy to answer any questions and provide more information about anything. Just call, email, or text the below addresses.
Thank you for your time and I hope you have a wonderful day ๐ค
