Being a single mom in Livonia has its share of joys and hurdles. Lately, I'm finding myself in one of the toughest chapters yet. My little one, just four, needs heart surgery. It's a terrifying thought for any parent, and my heart is full of worry, mixed with an immense love that drives me to do everything I can for that beautiful, bright smile.
On top of this, I'm doing my best to keep us in our home. The threat of eviction is constantly on my mind, creating a stress I never thought I’d face. Balancing work, frequent hospital visits, and the instability of our living situation feels like trying to walk a tightrope that keeps swaying.
This journey has taught me so much about vulnerability and the courage it takes to ask for help. Opening up is hard, but knowing there's kindness out there brings a sense of comfort and hope that I hold onto every single day.
